This report describes innovations in financing that can be used to improve population health. Eight innovations are described, with examples of each provided: 1) capture and reinvest; 2) blending and braiding; 3) community development financial institutions; 4) hospital community benefits; 5) low-income housing tax credits; 6) new market tax credits; 7) social impact bonds; and 8) wellness trusts.
